The Devhouse Agency partnered with the City of Dallas to create an immersive mobile AR experience that brings the rich history of Deep Ellum to life. This app features fully modeled and animated scenes, showcasing Deep Ellum from the 1860s to the present day, including interactive 360-degree experiences. The app preserves and beautifully presents historical photos, audio clips, documents, newspapers, advertisements, and portraits, offering users a comprehensive and engaging educational journey.

Turning Back Time with a Tap

The City of Dallas sought to educate residents and visitors about the historical significance of Deep Ellum, a neighborhood known for its vibrant Black history. The challenge was to present this information in a way that was both engaging and informative, capturing the essence of Deep Ellum's evolution over the decades.

Interactive Time Travel at Your Fingertips

Our goal was to develop a captivating product that immediately engaged users with animated 3D models. The app's dynamic storytelling kept users invested as they watched the evolution of Deep Ellum through interactive models and rich historical content. To enhance the narrative, we integrated 360-degree experiences, photos, portraits, audio clips, and documents, immersing users in the historical context and making the past feel tangible and alive.

Bottling History Through Technology

The City of Dallas was thrilled with the final product, showcasing it at the Fair Park Juneteenth Festival for their leadership team.
